Angus Raine is a leading Australian property commentator and Executive Chairman of the Raine & Horne property group.

Angus’s commentary features regularly in leading Australian media including radio, television and business publications.  As a highly respected thought leader, his comments on the property industry also feature regularly in the real estate trade press.

Angus commenced his real estate career outside the family business, determined to forge his own identity. Over a stellar 15-year career with three major international real estate firms, he cut some of the biggest commercial deals in the Sydney market, before returning to the family fold as a Director of Raine & Horne Holdings Pty Limited in 1998.

Over the past 30 years, Angus’ experience has traversed the full range of the property industry including commercial and residential real estate. His academic and industry qualifications include a Diploma of Business (Valuation) and a Diploma of Business (Franchising). He is a registered Valuer, a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute, Member Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and a licensed real estate, stock and station business agent. Angus is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Programme, and has a professional certificate in Advanced Corporate Real Estate (API/UWS).

In his time with Raine & Horne, Angus has delivered a raft of initiatives that have continued to push the boundaries of the property industry and maintain the Group’s position at the forefront of innovation and technology. From the introduction of the Group’s cutting-edge operating system, rhCompass, to the launch of advanced social media marketing platform Amplify and the construction of DigiKit, a bespoke digital appraisal system, Raine & Horne has carved the industry’s path towards a digital-first approach to real estate.

Angus has also overseen major expansion of Raine & Horne Commercial and Raine & Horne International, establishing the network’s presence in Fiji, Dubai and India, along with a continued push into Asia through Malaysian operations and a strategic alliance with the foremost Chinese real estate portal Juwai.
